John Abraham, Varun Dhawan & Jacqueline Fernandez Starrer Dishoom’s Audience Review

John Abraham, Varun Dhawan & Jacqueline Fernandez Starrer Dishoom’s Audience Review

Dishoom review: This John Abraham, Varun Dhawan film fails to zip-zap-zoom

Dishoom review: This John Abraham, Varun Dhawan film fails to zip-zap-zoom

Dishoom movie review: John Abraham and Varun Dhawan's movie is designed like a fast-paced caper but lacks impact. It shines in bits and pieces but the rest is a stretch.

Dishoom movie cast: John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Saqib Saleem, Jacqueline Fernandez, Akshaye Khanna, Rahul Dev, Nargis Fakhri, Tarun Khanna
Dishoom movie director: Rohit Dhawan
Dishoom rejigs the buddy cop movie, with John Abraham and Varun Dhawan being assigned to the “Case Of A Vanishing Indian Cricketer”.
The film is fashioned as a fast-paced caper. It’s got flash but the plot keeps stuttering and stops the film from really zip-zap-zooming. And in the second half, it nose dives, meandering off in some Arabian Nights style fantasy space before remembering what it had set out to do.
It begins with promise. Match-winning boy-in-blue Viraj Sharma (Saleem) disappears just a couple of days before a crucial match with Pakistan. Indian Special Task Force cop Kabir Shergill (Abraham) is parachuted into a Middle Eastern country, which is the site of the crime. Local boy Junaid Ansari (Dhawan) partners with the visitor, and off they go, sleuthing.
The slit-eyed stony-faced experienced cop and the bumbling rookie is an old Hollywood cliché but can turn into fun in the hands of good actors and directors: here, Dhawan and Abraham display limited wares, the former in his young wide-eyed joe avatar, and the latter swathed in tight tees and a permanent frown, swaggering down sandy desert outposts and shadowy villains’ dens. Both also get to shuck their shorts and show off their stuff in colourful briefs.
The boys have comely female company in the shape of the two gals, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri, the former with a few speaking scenes and an item number where she cavorts in the midst of leering men, and the latter who’s around for purely decorative purposes.

Dishoom’s villains are a letdown, not even properly evil in a matching comic-book way. Neither Rahul Dev nor Akshaye Khanna have any menace: for fellows who keep threatening to off their victims, they are curiously minus impact.
And that’s what ails the film as a whole. It comes alive only in bits and pieces: Akshay Kumar’s cameo, for instance, as a pouting-selfie-clicking man bun is a hoot. Some of the Abraham-Dhawan bro-time is okay too, but borrows from the ‘Men In Black’ duo Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in the way they, Kabir and Junaid, go about addressing each other, yes, K and J.

10 new and upcoming features of WhatsApp

10 new and upcoming features of WhatsApp

WhatsApp, the mobile-based messaging app owned by Facebook, presently has some 1 billion users. The app has become one of the most crucial modes of communication for many people around the globe. An upcoming update (v2.16.18) of the messaging service will be adding some new features. The WhatsApp update is available to Android Beta user group and is also available in the form of a signed APK from APK Mirror. In this post, we are going to discuss 10 new and upcoming features of WhatsApp you need to know of.

1) Call Back

So far, the feature was available only in the Android version of the app. This feature will appear on the app screen after a call is declined. Previously there was no such option in iOS. But form on, the option will be available for all iOS users.

2) Voicemail

After being declined by someone, or if the recipient does not pick up your call, then you’ll be greeted with a new screen with three options – call back, cancel and voice messages. By pressing the ‘mic’ button on chat, users could send voicemails to other users. This is similar to the audio message you send while chatting.

3) Quotes

With the new Whatsapp updates, users will be allowed to send specific quotes of conversation directly. All you’d need to do is select the message you want to quote, a reply button would come up. Tap on the button, type a reply, if need be, then hit send. You’d be even allowed to preview the message inside the box. The feature works in both individual and group chat.

4) New Fonts

The new update will also be rolling out new fonts that appear similar to the Fixedsys typeface in Windows. The only drawback being, this is the only font available. Although great news, since we are all likely to be tried of seeing the same default font. But to enable the new font, user have to put backquote symbol (`) three times before and after the text. The whole process is too much work and tiresome.

5) End-to-end Encryption

The service has rolled out in most countries but with the new update will ensure all WhatApp users can enable the feature. Facebook Messenger too now comes with end-to-end encryption. Keeping in mind the privacy of users, the feature will ensure that only sender and recipient can read the message. There’s no intervention between, even by WhatsApp.

6) Music-Sharing

According to several reports, WhatsApp is about to bring the music-sharing feature to users. This service is expected to come to iOS device first. It’ll allow users to share music stored on their devices as well as from Apple Music services.

7) Mention and Group Invites:

The groups are going to function somewhat like Facebook groups where the name will appear in a different colour text. The feature is aimed to help users grab the attention of a specific user in group conversations. As for group invites, the new feature will help users send a link to other WhatApp users to join the group just by tapping on it.

8) GIF Support:

Many instant messengers like Line and WeChat already support GIFs. WhatsApp too will be joining them soon. The feature has reportedly been spotted in iOS beta version 2.16.7.1.

9) Bigger Emoji

The app will reportedly come with larger emojis. We are speculating this on the basis of Apple’s announcement regarding support for WhatsApp in the upcoming iOS 10.

10) Video Calling

This feature was spotted last May on WhatsApp beta (v2.16.80 via the Google Play beta testing program) for Android users but seems to have disappeared in later updates. But since the news had so any users excited, and we hope it’ll appear in the upgrade.

Today's Horoscope 23rd July, 2016

Today's Horoscope 23rd July, 2016

Aries Horoscope MAR 21 – APR 19

Contradictions abound as you're torn between hiding your feelings now and throwing caution to the wind. On one hand, the Moon's visit to your 12th House of Invisibility reflects your need to retreat into the unseen reaches of your imagination. On the other hand, the Sun's shift into lively Leo and your 5th House of Spontaneity motivates you to open your heart as wide as you can. Don't worry if you choose to bury your head in the sand today. There will be plenty of time to come out and play in the days ahead.

Taurus Horoscope APR 20 – MAY 20

You're quite intuitive when it comes to social interactions today and you are willing to meet people more than halfway. You can postpone your agenda, tune into the needs of others and work toward the common good. However, your connection with your inner sense of purpose remains strong, even if it conflicts with your outer behavior. Holding both perspectives is a challenge but is well worth the effort. The best way to multiply your happiness is to share it.

Gemini Horoscope MAY 21 – JUN 20

Communication is almost always a top priority for you chatty Twins but getting your message across is not enough today. You want everyone to see you in motion so you can be recognized for what you do. You may even go out of your way to put on such a memorable performance that you transform yourself into a caricature. Don't focus on how others might perceive you; just show up as the best version of you that you can muster up. An original is worth more than a copy.

Cancer Horoscope JUN 21 – JUL 22

You need to work behind the scenes today so your insecurities can dissipate before they mess up a relationship of interest. Although you may be living in your fantasies, the real world seems too far away from your ideal situation. Don't lose faith; a pinch of hope is the cosmic superglue that holds the future together. Remember when Cinderella sang, "A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep."

Leo Horoscope JUL 23 – AUG 22

Voices of ancestors are whispering in your ear today and your subconscious mind is activated by unseen forces. Unfortunately, all this psychic activity can be quite distracting as you try to go about your day in the mundane world. Luckily, the Sun's return to animated Leo and your 1st House of Self boosts your energy and motivates you to complete whatever you start. Keep your eyes on the finish line until you reach your destination.

Virgo Horoscope AUG 23 – SEP 22

The more answers you seek today, the more questions you have. People around you seem to harbor bigger dreams than ever once the surreal Pisces Moon enters your 7th House of Others. However, you are clinging to a few fantasies of your own and might be unwilling to let them go. Don't hide your desires; the sooner you share them with those you trust, the more help you will receive. Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success.

Libra Horoscope SEP 23 – OCT 22

An increasing number of social commitments begins to infringe on your personal time. Nevertheless, you're a champion at balancing your needs with others and happily enter the complicated dance by taking everyone's interests into consideration now. Establish your work pattern early in the day and stick to it. Your performance may require extra energy today, but finding your mojo and expressing it is the ticket to your current happiness.

Scorpio Horoscope OCT 23 – NOV 21

You might not be able to separate your work from your creative pursuits today. Everything you do has the potential to be thoroughly enjoyable but you are driven to reach for a higher goal. If promotions or salary increases are not likely, it may be time to widen your choices and think about other options. But contemplating the possibilities is not the same as pursuing them. For now, don't make any choices you cannot undo. The wheels are still in spin and your world is still in motion.

Sagittarius Horoscope NOV 22 – DEC 21

You're not sure how to proceed on the home front, especially if you're running into walls every which way you turn. Although you might use techniques of creative visualization to break through the restraints, you have trouble knowing when to stop. Don't wait until you've gone too far. Pare back your plans and make time to put up your feet. As Carolyn Myss writes, "The soul always knows what to do to heal itself; the challenge is to silence the mind."

Capricorn Horoscope DEC 22 – JAN 19

Your intentions are not as straightforward once the Moon enters the murky waters of Pisces today. You might even feel as if you've lost your way, but this is just a temporary state of affairs because you gain momentum from the Sun's shift into bold Leo and your 8th House of Transformation. You can't keep things as they are; something needs to change. Once you release your hold on the status quo, the skies will begin to clear and the path ahead will be easier to follow.

Aquarius Horoscope JAN 20 – FEB 18

It's not much fun when the Moon drifts through spacey Pisces today, unless you relinquish power and stop trying to figure everything out. You don't possess all the answers now, yet the potential for growth is greater than ever while the willful Sun transits through your 7th House of Partners this month. You might not have the clarity you need to make an important decision, but solutions begin to show up when other people get involved. Many hands make light work.

Pisces Horoscope FEB 19 – MAR 20

Your current bout with indecision might hit too close to home as the emotional Moon returns to your changeable sign today. Your moods are swinging so fast that it's nearly impossible to keep up with them now. Don't even try; give yourself permission to let your feelings run with the wolves. In the meanwhile, focus all your attention on specific projects at work. Balance these two approaches for your best chance at finding answers that make sense.

Indian Air Force's AN-32 Plane With 29 Missing After 'Rapid Loss of Altitude'

Indian Air Force's AN-32 Plane With 29 Missing After 'Rapid Loss of Altitude'

NEW DELHI:An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport plane carrying 29, mostly military personnel, is missing after it took off for Port Blair on Friday morning.

More than 12 Navy and Coast Guard ships are looking for the aircraft in the Bay of Bengal. A submarine has also been diverted to the area.

The aircraft, which had six crew members and eight civilians or family members, may have plunged from an altitude of 23,000 feet, said an officer.

The plane left the Tambaram air base near Chennai at 8.30 am for Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar chain of islands. It was to have landed around 11.45 am.(Pictures)

"It was found missing. As of now, we will term it as overdue," said Navy spokesperson DK Sharma, in the afternoon.

It was a courier flight taking mostly service personnel to the strategic islands near the Malacca Straits, where India has a military base.

The last call from the aircraft was around 16 minutes after take-off, when the pilot reported that "everything is normal."

The plane fell off the radar at 9.12 am, 280 km east of Chennai. There were 11 air force personnel, two army and one navy personnel and a Coast Guard member on board.

The plane has an emergency beacon locator, which usually gets activated if there is a crash. The navy submarine has been sent to track any underwater transmission from the locator.

The Navy has also sent five surveillance aircraft including a Dornier, and 13 ships - Sahyadri, Rajput, Ranvijay, Kamorta, Kirch, Karmuk, Kora, Kuthar, Shakti, Jyoti,  Ghariyal and Sukanya.

There are more than 100 Russian-made AN-32s in service with the IAF. It is an aircraft that can fly for up to four hours without refueling and operate in all weather conditions.

"These aircraft are very strong, they are used as supply planes for mountains and deserts," said retired Air Force officer Praful Bakshi.

Madaari (Madari) Review and Movie Rating: Irrfan Is Back Once Again (6/10)

Madaari (Madari) Review and Movie Rating: Irrfan Is Back Once Again (6/10)

Madaari Review RatingMadari movie and Kabali hit the theaters on the same day. The day has come for all the movie lovers. At one side we have Superstar Rajni and Irrfan on the other side. Two different movies from two two big stars, it will surely be an entertaining weekend for the movie lovers.

The most awaited Madaari is out, and we bring you the Madari Movie Story Line, Review and also rating for the movie. Do go through the details thoroughly before you hit the theaters to enjoy the show. Madari is directed by Nishikant Kamat, who gave us Mumbai Meri Jaan, Drishyam, Force, Rocky Handsome.

Madaari Review

Shailesh Singh, Madan Paliwal, Sutapa Sikdar and Shailja Kejriwal are producing this film. Irrfan Khan, Jimmy Shergill, Tushar Dalvi in the lead roles, Madaari is surely a film which shouldn’t be missed.

Plot Details and Storyline

Irrfan Khan is known for his thought-provoking movies. Even this time, he picked a script which throws light on India’s chronological evil, corruption. Irrfan just steals the show with his acting.
Madari trailer thoroughly depicts the storyline of the film. The story line goes like this; Irrfan is an average middle-class man who has a happy family, and he works hard to make his ends meet. Suddenly a devasting incident occurs, where he loses his son. Irrfan’s son goes missing and Irrfan, being a regular normal powerless citizen of India, calls out for help.

He approaches police and even the Home Minister, and everyone turn a blind eye to him. So this common man now decides to kidnap Home Minister son to show him what he lost. So how did he succeed in abducting Home Minister’s son? Did Irrfan get his son at last? That forms the rest of the story.
Isn’t that interesting? Now then you have read our review, do continue reading Madaari Review too.

Analysis

If you are looking for an entertainer this weekend, we recommend you to opt for Kabali, whereas if you want thriller nail-biting experience, Madari is the one for you. Pick your one and hit the theaters.
Firstly, Madaari is based on true events. Sutupa Sikdar story really made the audience and also the critics thinking. As a result, positive reviews are rushing for Madaari. Moreover, there’s this thing, public talk and audience response which is also driving the audience to the theaters.

Madari is one gloomy script. It starts off slowly and picks up the pace before the interval and then it just kicks on till the climax. Cheesy lines by Irrfan keeps the script going.
Secondly, Vishal Bhardwaj and Sunny Inder-Bawra gave the best music for the film, especially the background music made the scenes much more intriguing.
Thirdly, let’s talk about the star performances. Irrfan Khan as Nirmal Kumar and Jimmy Shergill as Nachiket Verma stand out among all the roles. Irrfan kidnaps Home Minister’s son, and Jimmy Shergill does all his best to track Irrfan down. The intensity in these scenes is too damn high.

On a lighter note, Madari is a low budget film and has come out in less number of theaters. It’s not a conventional film like Sultan. Don’t expect an item song or big fights in the movie. Madaari is for all those intellectuals out there who could think and react to how a country is going. So do watch it and make sure you share your thoughts with us.

Madaari Rating

We would be rating Madaari movie 3/5 stars for their bold attempt to put forward something fresh for the film audience.
After watching the movie, do share your Madaari Review Rating with us via commenting below. Stay tuned for more updates.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY
Both in your personal life and in your work you will be fired with enthusiasm over the coming 12 months and you must find ways to turn it into lasting success. What is it in this life that inspires you the most? Make that your vocation.
ARIES (March 21 - April 20):
It is time to set yourself a new challenge. Commit yourself to a goal that others say is beyond your reach. With the sun moving through the most dynamic area of your chart you will take great delight in proving to the doubters wrong.
TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):
The planets warn this is probably not the best time to point out other people’s flaws and failings. What partners and loved ones and relatives need more than anything now is a confidence boost. What can you do to help them feel good about themselves?
GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):
Anything to do with your mind will go well for you over the next few days. You are equipped to compete at the highest level, so go for it. Use your imagination and find some way to make your brain power pay – and pay big.
CANCER (June 22 - July 23):
Sometimes the best way to deal with a problem is to ignore it and that seems to be your best option now. The more you are the kind of Cancer who likes to take charge the more you must resist the urge and just go with the flow.
LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):
The sun’s move into your sign means your confidence levels will rise dramatically today and over the weekend. One of the most trying times of the year is now behind you and, in true Leo fashion, you will celebrate with abandon. Watch out world!
VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):
You don’t trust your intuition as much as you should, but over the next few days you would do well to listen to the voice in your head that is urging you to take a particular course of action. You can make sense of your decision later.
LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):
In recent weeks you have looked on in amazement while people with less than half your talent have done well for themselves. Now it is your turn to shine and what happens over the coming weeks will encourage you to stand tall in the spotlight.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):
The time has come to show the world what you can do. The sun in Leo over the next few weeks will give a much-needed boost to your ambitions but don’t think that means success will land in your lap – you will have to work hard for it.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):
Anything is possible for you now – yes, anything. The sun’s journey through your fellow fire sign of Leo over the next few weeks means that confidence will not be in short supply – though common sense may be harder to come by.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):
It’s not often you question your motives or the workings of your mind but over the next few weeks you will start looking for answers to some rather profound questions, those of the “who am I?” and “what does it all mean?” variety.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):
The sun in Leo urges you to be fair with partners and colleagues. It also urges you to realize that to get things done you must bring others into your plans. The bottom line is you won’t get very far without other people’s help.
PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):
It does not matter how many obstacles are placed in your path over the next few days, you will overcome them all with ease. Don’t worry if the mountain you have been tasked to climb looks huge – you will find a way to move it.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
