OnePlus 3 reportedly launching in June with a drastically different design than its predecessors

"OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei confirmed that the brand's next-flagship, the OnePlus 3, will be released in June"
Founded in December 2013, the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus got great attention with its first smartphone called the OnePlus One (review
), which it introduced in April 2014. The brand introduced its second flagship offering, the OnePlus 2 (review), in July 2015, more than a year after the unveiling of the One. Soon after, in October last year, the company unveiled a mid-range offering called the OnePlus X (review). Now the vendor is all set to unveil its third flagship, the OnePlus 3.
In an interview with CNET, OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei confirmed that the brand's next-flagship, the OnePlus 3, will be released at the end of the second quarter this year, that is, in June. Pei declined to reveal many details about the device, but he did reveal that the new model will attract users as much as the brand's first smartphone. Pei also said that the new phone will sport a new design, so it should look different from the OnePlus 2 (pictured below), and the OnePlus One (displayed above), which share a similar design language.

According to Pei, the OnePlus 3 will be released in the US and other key markets as an unlocked phone, and will be sold directly by the brand. As for the specs of the device, Pei didn't reveal anything. The rumour-mill suggests that the phone will sport a 1080p screen of unknown size, and will be backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC.
